Underlined Teddy Lobster Costume

Stephanie Griffin/CNN

For less than $20, this lobster costume is easy. It’s super comfy and basically a plush pet coat with a hood! I can’t wait for him to strut around town like a cute crayfish on Halloween. — Stephanie Griffin, Social Leader

California Apparel USPS Delivery Driver Dog and Cat Apparel

I absolutely love doggy outfits that make your pup look like a villain, I just think they are so cute. That’s why when I saw this mailman costume, I knew I had to buy it. It’s easy to put on and the little box that comes with it is super cute. The legs are a little too long for Miso so the cuffs and hat aren’t fully on, but it’s a great costume for your Halloween photo shoot. — Kai Burkhardt, Associate Editor

OMG cute lion mane costume

Is Atticus a cat or a lion? This cat’s lion’s mane costume is hard to tell apart. The headgear is easy to wear on your furry friend, with a Velcro strap that ties under the chin. We love this simple but absolutely cute outfit. — Emily McNutt, Senior Travel Editor

Disney Stitch Space Suit Dog and Cat Costume

My sister and I grew up watching “Lilo & Stitch” so when we saw this unique costume we had to buy it for her poodle, Boobie. I love how she waddles on all six legs when she walks. — Caroline Curran, Associate Editor

Ruby Skull Dog Costume

My dog Mary is a giant Phoebe Bridges Stein, so just like Phoebes, she now insists on dressing like a skeleton for two years in a row. It’s perfect for the funky sad girl in your life, or someone who just likes to dress up their dog as a skeleton. Also pairs well with humans. — Mike Andronico, Senior Technical Writer

Frisco Bumble Bee Dog and Cat Costume

Frisco Bumble Bee Dog and Cat Costume

I love the idea of dressing up the cat Phoebe as some other creature. This year, she’s transformed into a Phoebe bee—though the look only lasted long enough to be photographed. — Chelsea Stone, Senior Editor

It’s hard to imagine my sister’s toy poodle getting cuter, but this bumblebee costume really got me excited. I love that her ears have little grooves (she doesn’t seem to mind!). So precious, and the puppy’s name has a great alliteration: Bumble Bee Boobie! — Caroline Curran, Associate Editor

Underlined teddy denim clothing

Stephanie Griffin/CNN

I couldn’t resist dressing Teddy as a cowboy this Halloween, and this time, he didn’t mind! The measurements were accurate and the two Velcro straps were unlimited, so he could still run around as usual. This time, however, he has a cowboy on his back. — Stephanie Griffin, Social Leader

Hide & Eek Boutique Skeleton Glow Hoodie Dog and Cat Clothing

In my book, two skull hoodies for pets are better than one. As much as she hates it, I like to dress Earthha once or twice a year (see below). This year she is a skeleton. (Who Phoebe Bridgers?) But seriously, while this dress is her nemesis right now, it’s so cute and relatively easy to put on, and for a photo like this, I can’t say I totally regret it. — Rachel Lubitz, Senior Lifestyle Editor

Frisco Front Walk 80's Retro Kids Dog and Cat Clothing

Maggie can wear anything, especially when it’s comfortable, and this dress is just that. The material around the neck is soft and large enough to allow her to move without restraint. The garment attaches in three places: around the neck with Velcro and with elastic to the two front legs. My only complaint about this outfit is that I wish the material for the legs was longer, but in the garment manufacturer’s defense, Maggie is pretty tall for a Golden Retriever. — Katelyn Gendron, Senior SEO Manager

Lopbraa Nook Shirt

This casual man loves his corner shirt. It has three snap buttons on the front of the shirt for easy wearing. Cotton and polyester are comfortable, but the highlight of this Halloween costume is the cute leaf pattern, which is available in dark green and white. — Emily McNutt, Senior Travel Editor

Hide & Eek Boutique Sunflower Ruff Cat Costume

Lola isn’t the biggest fan of clothing, but Target Hide & Eek’s headpieces are easy to put on and take off. They have so many cute options, but we figured that since she loves basking by the window, a sunflower outfit would be the perfect fit – even if she hates me right now. — Lindsay Smith, Associate Editor

underlined moose costume

Mike Bruno/CNN

My chocolate lab, Moose, became a prisoner last year for our evening tour of the neighborhood. I can’t believe he put up with the hat all night. (He did chew it to pieces later that night. I guess he earned it.) – Mike Bruno, Vice President of Commercial

Yafet Halloween Spider Costume

While Atticus doesn’t like dressing up as a spider, we do. This outfit is easy to put on, with two Velcro straps and soft fabric on the pet’s back, with adjustable wire legs. As far as pet spider costumes go, we love this somewhat realistic looking spider look. — Emily McNutt, Senior Travel Editor

Frisco Front Walking Granny Dog and Cat Costume

Trina is only 15, so this cute little granny outfit is perfect for her. She’s super small (only 4lbs) so I’m a little worried about the fit, but the XS fits her. I’m obsessed with the delicate little purse and pearl necklace details, and the Velcro garment makes it super easy to put on. She’s not a fan of wigs, but the adjustable straps did make it easy for her to wear the wig long enough to take a few photos. — Hayley Saltzman, Social Director

Hyde and EEK!Boutique Bee Full Body Dog and Cat Costume

Words are hard to describe how cute this dress is. Between the iridescent wings, fluffy velvet body and little stinger at the end, this turned out to be a truly perfect Halloween costume for a black cat. While it does come with a little hat with tentacles that she’s too perky to bear, it’s a breeze to get her to wear this hat as you only have two Velcro straps to wrap around and then you can go . Eartha wasn’t even a collar-able cat, she was able to put up with that and took a couple of really important pictures. — Rachel Lubitz, Senior Lifestyle Editor

Hyde and EEK!Boutique Lobster Front Dog and Cat Costume

At $10, this pet lobster costume is a bargain. It’s made of premium plush material that even the Bulldog Brooklyn can’t break. You can easily grab any pet by just securing it with two Velcro straps – even if they don’t *love* to wear clothes. You scream when you see your pet running around with lobster claws. — Rosanne Salvatore, Associate Editor

Hyde and EEK!Boutique Dinosaur Hat H&E Cat Costume

If you didn’t have the urge to buy a $5 dinosaur hat for your cat, did you even go to Target? Not pictured: When Phoebe realizes what’s on her head, she attacks the city like Godzilla. — Senior Business Editor Chelsea Stone

Mogoko Funny Dog Shark Costume

When we bought this cute baby shark set for my dog Finley, the measurements were accurate. The suit itself is really luxurious, like a particularly comfortable jacket he wears. The fins were a bit floppy, but when we left the hood on him it looked like a shark was eating him, which was so cute. — Kristin Magaldi, Associate Editor

Rubie's Costume Company Pet Aviator Hat and Scarf Set

I couldn’t resist dressing up my dog as Snoopy at least once, and this cheap, simple outfit worked while being soft and easy to put on. It has small holes on the top so your puppy’s ears don’t get flattened, and our dog only tried to shake it off once. — Kai Burkhardt, Associate Editor

Archie McPhee Loving Friends Kitty Hug Costume, Pumpkin

There’s nothing more classic Halloween than a pumpkin, so last year I really had no choice but to turn my fur kid Phoebe into a kitten. The hat is really light (unlike other stuffed pumpkin costumes) and lighter on the basics (Phoebe refuses to wear what she’s wearing). Yes, it comes with a pumpkin hat fit for a human. No, I won’t share a photo of me wearing it. — Senior Business Editor Chelsea Stone

Puoyis pet cat bat wings halloween

Getting a themed Halloween costume is serious business when you have a black cat. Last year, these bat wings were perfect for Eartha. Easy to wrap her up for quick photos, the wings are made of felt material so they are super light and easy to move around awkwardly. And she looks so cute enough to make the perfect Halloween Instagram, don’t you think? — Rachel Lubitz, Senior Lifestyle Editor

Star Wars Darth Vader Dog Costume

Mary runs my apartment like Darth Vader runs the Death Star, so this Empire costume suits her perfectly. Even if she hates getting dressed. — Mike Andronico, Senior Technical Writer

Companion dog overalls

I dressed Stewart – a lot. From holiday bow ties to winter hats and sweaters, he tried his fair share of clothing. But nothing beats this absolutely incredible lumberjack outfit that just screams “I’m ready for the fall event.” Now I just need to get a new pair of flannel to match him. — Emily McNutt, Senior Travel Editor
