YSU honors alumni: Youngstown State University’s Warren P. Williamson School of Business Administration will present the 2022 Distinguished Alumni Award at an October reception. 14 Williamson Hall on campus.

VEC Scholarships: VEC Inc. electrical and general contracting supplier in Girard has announced the 2022 scholarship recipients, all local students: Evan Davies, Lauren Meadows and Haley Protiva. Each will receive a $500 scholarship.
Davis is studying finance at Ohio University. Meadows plans to major in choral music education at The Ohio State University, and Protiva’s plans include admission to the University of Tampa to major in nursing.

AMERICA MAKES APPOINTS NEW COMMITTEE: As America Makes enters its 10th year, the Executive Committee will help lead the transition to the next phase of the America Makes program. As a core strategic advisory committee, they will ensure that the appropriate strategy, policy and advocacy for Made in America is in place to achieve its mission.

Ribbon Cutting Package: QUICKmed Urgent Care will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new location at 402 S. Chestnut St. in Ravenna at noon on Wednesday. The locally owned medical clinic opened its doors last week to provide non-life-threatening medical care to Ravenna residents.
Free medical examinations for school-age children will continue until October. 31.
QUICKmed was founded in 2018 with the first in Liberty. Ravenna is its ninth location.
MERIDIAN OPENS NEW OFFICE: Meridian HealthCare is opening a new chiropractic office at 2894 Centre Road, Poland.
Location, formerly Dr. Christopher Clautti’s clinic, called Back to Health Chiropractic and Massage Therapy, will offer chiropractic and acupuncture services. Clautti will remain in the office.
Chiropractic and acupuncture services can be used to treat chronic pain, increase mobility/range of motion, and improve overall health.
Meridian also maintains two chiropractic offices in Howland and Youngstown.
EWM NEW RESTAURANT OPENING: King Cajun Seafood & Bar, a new restaurant at Eastwood Mall Complex, celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday.
The restaurant is in a separate location on the east side of the mall, next to Steak ‘n Shake. The nearly 10,000-square-foot building was previously home to another restaurant.
The space has been completely refurbished to create a new restaurant and a full bar. Dishes inspired by Louisiana and Low Country cuisine feature prominently on the menu.

717 Promotion: Keri Davis was named Assistant Consumer Loan Manager and worked at 717 for six years. In her new role, Davis will guide the day-to-day operations of loan production staff alongside consumer loan managers.
FACTOR Joins Potential Development: Potential Development has brought Lori A. Factor to the newly created position of Director of Communications.
Factor brings 30 years of communications, public relations and marketing experience to the organization. She most recently served as Director of Community Engagement and Events at Youngstown State University’s Cliff College and Director of the YSU Summer Arts Festival.
A Youngstown native, she graduated from YSU in 1985 with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations and has served at Farmers National Bank, the former Youngstown Area Chamber of Commerce and the YSU Alumni Association.
iSYNERGY Promoted from within: Digital marketing agency iSynergy has promoted Jessica Ashcroft to VP of Content. As this role increases, Ashcroft will work to expand the division while continuing to help clients better understand the digital marketing landscape.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and has worked in the industry for nearly seven years. She has been with iSynergy for over three years. Previously, Ashcroft worked as a Marketing Coordinator in Pittsburgh, where she assisted with presentations, designing marketing materials, generating reports and researching prospect lists for sales.
