Coast Guard, partner agencies search for missing man near Corpus Christi, Texas

Corpus Christi, Texas — The Coast Guard is searching for a missing man who fell from a platform near Corpus Christi on Saturday.
Coast Guard Corpus Christi Command Center observers received a call from Corpus Christi Police Department staff at 1:45 p.m. that a scaffold had fallen from a platform at Kiewit Offshore Services into the waters of La Quinta Channel . Security at the scene reported that the man had not reappeared and had been missing for 15 minutes.
Missing is a Latino man last seen wearing Manual inflatable blue life jacket, harness and tool belt.
Observers issued an emergency marine information broadcast and diverted an airborne MH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Coast Guard Corpus Christi Air Station and an underway 29-footer from Coast Guard Station Port Aransas Responsive boat – small crew begins the search.
