Responding to the release of thousands of pages of his tax returns, former US President Donald Trump warned of “horrible things” to come targeting “radical left-wing Democrats”.

The documents include more than 2,700 pages of personal returns for Mr. Trump and his wife, Melania, and more than 3,000 pages of returns covering his business entities.
There were a few redactions in the press release — mainly bank accounts and social security numbers.
After the Supreme Court ruled that he must turn over the documents, a House committee voted partisan last week on the House Ways and Means Committee to make the return public.
His finances have largely been shrouded in mystery because he has refused to release them prior to and during his tenure.

Trump, known for building skyscrapers and hosting the reality show “The Apprentice” before taking the White House, provided only limited details about his assets and income on mandatory disclosure forms.
That hasn’t stopped his critics from trying to learn more about his wealth and tax details since then.
In 2020, The New York Times published an article claiming that he paid $750 (£622) in federal income tax in 2017 and 2018 and paid no income tax at all in 10 of the past 15 years because of the money he typically loses more than earned.
Mr Trump plans to run for office again in 2024.
The Trump Organization was convicted earlier this month of tax fraud for helping some executives evade taxes on company-paid perks, such as apartments and luxury cars.
Trump’s accountant, Donald Bender, testified at the trial that he reported losses on his tax returns every year for a decade beginning in 2009.
