Elon Musk said he would support Republican Ron DeSantis if he ran in the 2024 US presidential election.
mr desantis is Reelected in midterm elections with nearly 60% of the vote And is considered a potential candidate for the next US leader.
Musk’s apparent support for Mr DeSantis comes from rival GOP donald trump Came under fire for having dinner with a prominent white supremacist.
Musk tweeted: “My preferences for the 2024 presidency are sensible and centrist. I had hoped the same for a Biden administration, but so far have been disappointed.”
Asked if he would support DeSantis in 2024, the Tesla owner replied in a tweet: “Yes.”
“As a reminder, I was a big supporter of the Obama-Biden presidency and (reluctantly) voted for Biden over Trump,” Musk said.
When previously asked about Musk’s support, Mr. Desantis “I welcome African-American support, what can I say,” joked.
Musk is white and grew up in South Africa.

On Friday, Mr. Trump distanced himself from a pre-Thanksgiving dinner with rapper Kanye West and white supremacist Nick Fuentes at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.
