Lindsey Graham offers advice on how police should respond during deadly January. According to a new book obtained by Politico, 6 Capitol attacked, saying they should have shot the thugs in the head.

The outlet reported that the Republican senator from South Carolina made the remarks at a meeting with the group last May.

“You should shoot them all in the head,” Graham said, according to former Washington police officer Michael Fanone’s book “Standing the Line: Uprising and a Cop Fighting for America’s Soul.” The book will be published on October 1st. 11.

“We gave you guns and you should use them,” Graham adds in the book. “I don’t understand why that didn’t happen.”

According to Politico, the family of the late police officer Brian Sinick was present, along with Capitol Police officers Harry Dunn and Fanone. Fanone, who was stunned and beaten by a flagpole during the uprising, responded to Graham saying police must obey the rules about the use of deadly force.

Pro-Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol as Congress approved the 2020 presidential election. The attack prompted lawmakers to evacuate as thugs attacked police and crowded into the historic building.

Graham, who backs Trump’s baseless claims about the election, lashed out at police officers at the scene during the chaotic attack, according to a Washington Post report.

“He yelled at the Senate armed sergeant. ‘What are you doing? Take back the Senate! You have guns. Use them,'” Graham said, according to media reports.
