It has been 14 years since Michael Strahan retired from the NFL after 15 years as a defensive end with the New York Giants.Since then, his career has not only taken off but has taken off in a myriad of directions: He was a commentator on Fox’s NFL Sunday pregame show (as well as the host of “Thursday Night Football”), which he had four years as a co-host “Live! With Kelly and Michael” and Kelly Ripa, who is currently Morning host of “Good Morning America.”
In 2015, he also launched the Michael Strahan clothing line, which he wears almost every day. “Everything in my collection is designed for versatility,” he told CNN Underscored, noting that the Modern Fit Crew Neck sweater with navy triangle is one of his new favourites. “All my tops can take me to meetings, social events, and more. I love them.” He also frequently appears in the collection’s straight-leg black jeans, which could easily be mistaken for dress pants. “Our denim has the perfect amount of stretch,” he says—useful for hours on a plane or sitting in front of a camera. Now, Strahan is also making her first foray into skincare. On September 16, he launched the Michael Strahan Daily Defense Collection (available at CVS), a five-product regimen based on products he uses every day to combat dry skin.
CNN Underscored caught up with Strahan, one of the busiest people on TV, about his favorite daily essentials while on the go.
Sportswear
Strahan pointed out that he was not always Wearing a suit and tie in front of the camera. When he’s resting, he prefers comfortable and relaxed athleisure clothing. “This has to be my favorite NFL collection,” he says of this MSX by Michael Strahan sleeveless hoodie. “It’s what I wear when I’m watching a game, lounging around the house or sweating it out at the gym.”

Strahan’s new skincare line has five products: face wash, shaving lotion, aftershave balm, face and neck moisturizer and beard conditioning oil. He prefers to use them all as part of his routine, but if he’s on the go, he makes sure to at least layer on moisturizer, which is non-clogging and made with vitamin E and avocado oil. “It’s my secret weapon for looking and feeling my best,” he says. “Especially during football season, which is my busiest season.”
Devices for Work and Play
Because he travels a lot by plane, train, or car, Strahan says he always has his iPad with him to watch content while he’s on the move. “I love my iPad,” he said. “Not only for work and email, but also for unplugging and watching movies.” He added, “At ‘GMA,’ a lot of actors come to promote their movies, so I was lucky enough to get the screening crew to see it early. to them.”

Sitting down to lunch is not something workaholic Strahan can pencil in every day. “I have a very busy schedule,” he said. “But it’s important to stay motivated. When I can’t sit down to lunch, I eat Quest bars. They’re healthy, so they’re always in my bag. Sometimes that’s what I get from meeting to meeting. Way.”
