Inglourious Bagels opens in La Costa
Inglourious Bagels has opened, serving traditional New York-style bagels and jajangmyeon. Yes, it’s spelled like it was in Quentin Tarantino’s movie “Inglourious Basterds,” and the store’s name is inspired by the real Jewish heroes of the greening operation that the World War II film was based on inspiration. Inglourious also refers to the imperfections of handcrafted, locally produced food. The menu offers a dozen bagel varieties, equal parts schmears (spreads), and bagel sandwiches. Part 2 of the “Future of Work” series
The North San Diego Chamber of Commerce hosted Part 2 of a six-part in-person workshop, “The Future of Work,” on Jan. 1 from 8-9:30 a.m. 10 at Palomar College Rancho Bernardo Education Center, 11111 Rancho Bernardo Road. Finding talent and retaining top performers are two of the biggest challenges facing most companies, especially small and mid-sized ones. This installment of “Start with the Basics – Your Talent” will focus on understanding workforce needs in 2030, hiring the right workers, and developing them in new ways. Applications Open for Tourism Diversification Program
For the second year, Tourism San Diego launches its diversity program, the Tourism Accelerator. The program promotes diversity, equity and inclusion in the travel industry by providing free travel board memberships, education and networking opportunities to local travel and hospitality businesses owned by people of color, women, veterans and LGBTQ+ people. San Diego Gas & Electric is the financial sponsor of the program, which will provide businesses in 10 areas with a suite of free services.
