Chamber of Commerce, Senior Expo Urban Planning
The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce and the City of Encinitas will host a senior expo titled “Embrace Retirement” on February 2nd from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 25 at the Encinitas Community and Senior Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive. Senior Expo gives local businesses and service organizations an opportunity to meet near-retirees, those who have retired and the families of seniors. Events include breakfast hosted by the Encinitas Rotary Club’s family team, refreshments, hugs, retirement bags and the opportunity to paint. Exhibitor registration is now open. Escondido School District holds recruiting event
The Escondido Unified School District is holding a recruiting event on January 1st from 8:30 am to noon. 24 at the Carilyn Gilbert Educational Center, 2310 Aldergrove Ave. Talk to school district personnel and apply for various positions. Fish restaurant opens on Five Guys site
The California Fish Grill opens at 1348 W. Valley Pkwy., Suite A, which was formerly the location of the Five Guys. Menu items include keto shrimp and paleo salmon bowls, grilled fish, fried fish, shrimp and calamari, salads, tacos, and sandwiches. Plant-based items are also available. The Smile for First Responders program, offered by San Diego oral surgery and implantology specialists, will provide free treatment to a San Diego area first responder to restore their teeth to a normal smile. The North San Diego Chamber of Commerce is hosting its third annual San Diego Business Summit in person on January 1st from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. 25.
