RICHMOND, VA — The Richmond Athletics announced Tuesday that Mike Pagano has been named assistant athletics director of business operations. Pagano joins the Richmond Athletics after seven years in the University of Richmond’s financial aid office, four of which served as assistant director of financial aid. In that position, Pagano was responsible for reviewing and awarding students’ financial aid applications, managing student employment programs on campus, and serving as a liaison between financial aid and athletics.
A native of Morristown, N.J., Pagano moved to Richmond in 2014 and began working at the University of Richmond in 2015. He has wife Stacey, sons Luke and Drew, and daughter Lauren.
Pagano earned a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. year 2006. His undergraduate degree was at Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania, where he was a four-year player and two-year captain of the men’s lacrosse team. Pagano coached lacrosse at the youth and high school levels for more than 20 years, including serving as the assistant varsity boys lacrosse coach at Mills E. Godwin High School in Henrico, Virginia.
