Partly cloudy Monday with showers during the day.

corpus Christi, Texas — Tropical moisture and upper-level instability brought isolated showers and thunderstorms this weekend. A cold front on Monday will bring scattered showers but dry air for the rest of the week. Tropical Storm Ian in the Caribbean will move into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico around Tuesday, strengthening into a hurricane. Its massive flow patterns will continue to bring dry air into southern Texas, along with coastal swells. That will mean increased rip currents mid-to-late. Temperatures are expected to dip below the 90s in the early afternoon of the week and above the 80s from Wednesday to Saturday. Lows ranged from the 1970s to the mid 1960s. Breezy winds will bring dry air from the north on Tuesday and Wednesday.
