Sir Ringo Starr canceled the rest of his North American tour after testing positive for COVID-19 for the second time in two weeks.

The 82-year-old former Beatles drummer said fans were sure to be “as surprised as I was” when he revealed his latest news coronavirus frustration.

Scheduled concert dates in California and Mexico have now been cancelled.

Just three days ago, after Sir Ringo said he was ‘on the road again’ Recover from an earlier round or COVID-19.

He shared a photo of himself on Twitter, writing: “I’m sure you’ll be as surprised as I tested positive for Covid-19 again.”

“The rest of the tour is over. I send you peace and love, Ringo.”

After his first illness, he and his band All Starr canceled a series of shows in Michigan, Minnesota and Canada.

Sir Ringo shot to fame with quarter the Beatles.

He joined the Fab Four in 1962, just before their huge success, replacing drummer Pete Best.

After the Beatles disbanded in 1970, Sir Ringo built a successful solo career and formed his all-star band in 1989.

In addition to the ex-Beatles, the band includes Toto’s Steve Lukasser, The People at Work’s Colin Hay, Hamish Stewart and Edgar Winter of Ordinary Whites.

The artist was knighted for his contributions to music in 2018.
