Seven injured in Phoenix shooting, police say

At least seven injured after nearby shooting 19th Avenue and Indian School Road early Saturday morning, Phoenix police said.

Police were called to a business in the area after a call of a shooting and found several people with gunshot wounds.

Investigations revealed that some of the victims had been taken to hospital before the police arrived.

Police said there were seven victims in total: four were taken to hospital from the crime scene and three were taken to a local hospital. At least six of them were shot, one in critical condition.

“The victim’s condition has ranged from life-threatening to non-life-threatening and an update is not expected until later today,” police said.

Their ages and names were not released.

It was not immediately clear if any suspects were among those shot.

19th Avenue is closed between Camelback and Indian School Road for an investigation.
