Snoop Dogg is reaching out to a new customer: real dogs.
The rapper and entrepreneur is branching out into pet fashion with his new pet accessories line, Snoop Doggie Doggs.
“If my dog isn’t fresh, neither am I,” Snoopy said in a press release issued Thursday. “The dogs and their costumes are a reflection of Tha Dogg himself, so they look like Top Dog characters, guess what?!?!”
The collection is a collaboration between talent agency SMAC Entertainment and clothing brand Little Earth Productions.
Snoop Doggie Doggs includes clothing and accessories “reminiscent of Snoop’s most iconic looks.” Think a dog bowl rendered in shiny gold and adorned with a real metal chain, or a stuffed dog toy in the shape of a marijuana joint with Snoop’s face on it. There are also canine T-shirts and sweatshirts featuring the artist’s logo.
“Without a doubt, Snoop Dogg is the most suitable and amazing partner we could have imagined in the dog and pet space,” Rob Brandegee, co-founder of Little Earth Productions, said in a press release.
In addition to releasing 19 studio albums and being nominated for 20 Grammy Awards as a rapper, Snoop Dogg has made a name for himself through unique investments and business deals. He produced an animated children’s series, released a gluten-free cereal called “Snoop Loopz,” and launched a wine label.
The artist – who is a marijuana spokesperson – also sells his own line of cannabis products.
