Woman in suspected grizzly attack in Montana found dead US News

A woman has been found dead after a suspected grizzly bear attack in the United States.

she was found on saturday Montana Officials with the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks said there was an “apparent encounter with a bear” on a trail west of Yellowstone National Park.

Investigators found grizzly tracks at the scene, but did not confirm the cause of death in a statement Sunday.

Rangers urgently closed the area where the woman was found, which is popular with hikers.

The department warned tourists last week that staff had confirmed grizzly sightings across Montana, “particularly in the area between the Northern Continental Divide and the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem.”

They urged campers and park visitors to carry bear spray, store food properly and dispose of trash efficiently.

Deaths from grizzly bears are extremely rare.

But the latest attack comes amid rising grizzly bear populations in Montana and several deaths associated with the animals in recent years.

March 2022, 40 year old man also died after the attack in Yellowstone National Park, while a 51-year-old man survived a lone attack October 2022 in Glacier National Park, Montana.

In July 2021, a 65-year-old woman was killed by a bear that authorities saidfood regulated“.

In April of that year, a district guide was killed by a grizzly bear while fishing on the Yellowstone National Park border.
